Zoe
The first project I took on after a long while was what ultimately led me to pursue photography as a business.
Zoe and I were colleagues, and as her birthday was coming up, she wanted it photographed. So she asked me. At the time, I was simply carrying my camera around the streets, capturing how I saw the world in that season of my life and trying to reignite something within me.
After that project, I fell in love with the way I had captured her. From then on, whenever we'd go out, I would bring my camera and practice with her as my subject.
Eventually, I thought, maybe I should try meeting more people—capturing not just their photos, but their stories too.
One of my first steps was setting up a website and creating new social media accounts for the business. As I prepared all of this, I found myself thinking that maybe it was time to take a bigger risk. So I decided to move to Toronto and see where God would lead me.
I didn't have everything figured out, but I was excited by the possibility of building something meaningful, meeting new people, and continuing to tell stories through my camera.
